BUD & BLOSSOM

Soul in Link Bud and Blossom necklace

Soul in Link Bud and Blossom necklace

Out in the early spring forest studying tiny buds and baby blossoms. Away from the whirr, beep and bleeps of machines and other man made things. The light and dark of polished silver and oxidised deep darkness. Contrasting and reflecting the optimism of the seasons changing. Our inspiration for this complex but simple contradictory t-bar necklace. Incorporating our popular soul in link intertwining hearts motif.

Rimfire Bullet Necklace by Digby & Iona

Digby & Iona Silver Necklace
Growing up in rural Maine, Aaron Ruff wanted to be an archaeologist. Though now a designer living and working in Brooklyn, NY, he’s not digging in the dirt, but is still following through on his plans to mine the past for insight and inspiration. With his jewelry line Digby & Iona, Ruff has examined the complexities of being an animal-loving kid in hunting country with Digby & Iona’s The Fight or Flight collection, and with the Artifact collection, relished in an enthusiasm for reinventing the past.
Now 26, Ruff moved from the rural Maine to New York to attend Parsons School of Design, where he studied furniture design, and the eventual transition from crafting items to be sat upon to items to be worn was a natural one. With a carpenter father, Ruff has spent a lifetime building and working with his hands. Currently, he works in a glass enclosed studio atop his Cobble Hill apartment, and approaches jewelry-making with the mentality of a woodworker: with giant tools and very little patience.
